June Time Trials

Any Tuesday during the month of June at the Tuesday evening track workout, we’ll be conducting Time Trials again. The purpose of the time trial is to find your precise training paces and find potential training partners who train at paces similar to you.

If you’d like to participate, here’s what you need to do: time yourself racing a 400 meter time trial and a 1 mile time trial during the month of June (preferably on different Tuesdays), and let Coach Tom know your age, sex, 400 meter time, and 1 mile time.

Coach Tom will then compile and send you your data: VDOT score, VDOT training paces, performance score, your strength and weakness (speed vs endurance), and potential training partners. Participation is encouraged but of course optional, and you are welcome to come workout with us any Tuesday even if you’re not running a time trial. If you want to participate but can’t make it to the Tuesday evening track workout, feel free to do it on your own anytime during the month of June. If you only want to do one time trial, that’s entirely ok; it just means Coach Tom won’t be able to provide your strength and weakness data.
