Also Below: Details about our spring marathon training program.
Get ready to kick off 2025 with a boost to your running! We’re excited to announce our winter-time Tuesday evening workout will be designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced racers.
Where: Burlington High School (123 Cambridge St, Burlington, MA 01803). This will replace our meetings at Woburn High School until early May.
When: Every Tuesday evening, starting December 15. Warmup will begin at 5:45pm. Workouts will be posted on the training page if you can’t make it to the Tuesday meetup and wish to follow them on your own schedule.
What to Expect: We’ll take a break from the 400-meter track by mixing things up with a challenging and dynamic combination of:
- Long aerobic intervals: Build your endurance base and speed.
- Striders & Drills: Light speed and running form drills to improve mechanics & efficiency.
- Hill work for strength: “Speedwork in disguise” that builds strength for both injury prevention and increased running power.
- Core-strength/balance/mobility workout led by Coach Tom: After the running workout a short (approximately 10 minutes), optional strength session to improve balance, stability, and efficiency.
Why Join Us?
- All levels welcome! Whether you’re just starting out or aiming for a 2025 PR, our coaches will scale the workouts and challenges to suit your individual needs.

Calling all aspiring marathoners, from first-timers to experienced racers! Whether you’re aiming for the Boston Marathon on April 21, 2025, or have another spring marathon in your sights, our Shamrock winter marathon training program will guide you every step of the way.
Where: Through the winter and early spring, this group will also meet Tuesday nights at Burlington High School. Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge St, Burlington, MA 01803.
Time: Warmup will begin at 5:45pm.
All Levels Invited: Based on your preferences, experience and goals, you can follow either a VDOT-specific program drawn from your current fitness level or a similar program using simple perceived exertion (example: running easy means you can carry a conversation while you run). We encourage you to email Coach T.J. (credentials include NASM and VDOT-certified coach certifications with a 2:38 marathon PR) for a consultation on what program might be best for you.
We kick off the week of December 15th. Approximately 18 weeks until the Boston Marathon – giving you a quality amount of time to build your endurance, speed, and mental fortitude for the 26.2-mile challenge.
