Each year, the Shamrock Running Club Board of Directors reviews and updates the selection criteria for our Boston Marathon invitational entries. Due to growing interest among our members, we design these guidelines to ensure everyone has a fair and equitable opportunity to receive a number. We intentionally select a mix of volunteer opportunities, race involvement, membership criteria and club events that are accessible to all members.
While invitational numbers are never guaranteed, our long-standing relationship with the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) typically grants our club a varying allocation of number late fall or early winter for the following April race.
