Rounding into the end of the year. If you’ve finished your primary racing for the season, it’s a good time to shift over to easy, enjoyable base work and give your anaerobic system and nervous system some rest while you begin working on your aerobic base for next year.
If you still have a key race in sight, and/or you’re racing Mill Cities, meet us Tuesday night at Woburn High School for some Jack Daniels/VDOT sharpening workouts.
Last year the stadium lights were on this time in November, so hopefully they’ll be on. If you have a headlamp, definitely bring it just in case.
Q1: Track Night
If you’re racing this next weekend: 3 x 1-mile at T pace with 2 minute rests.
If not racing, 5 x 1000-meters at I pace with 400-meter jogs.
Q2: Thursday Threshold
If racing, an easy run
If not racing, do the 3 x 1-mile T pace workout listed above.
